Glossy Black protesters, but no sign of Noosa Council

Local environment protesters made lots of noise today (Monday June 5th) at the site of the controversial Uniting Church Bluecare development that’s about to start bulldozing a critical habitat for Glossy Black cockatoos at Sunrise Beach.

As last minute legal action begins on several fronts, Noosa’s mayor and councillors were otherwise engaged today as the protest put our Council’s environment protection processes under question.

Without doubt, today’s favourite shouted slogan was this one; “Uniting Church it’s not about the money. It’s Spencer here, I’m standing with my mummy.”
